Cost is $60 per person, $45 per member. Price includes admission to the Zoo.
All participants must be at least 8 years old. Participants 17 years old and under must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants should arrive at least 15 minutes before their tour begins.
Have you ever wondered how much water is above your head as you walk through the tunnel of the Walter Scott Aquarium, or how we feed the sharks and rays who call the aquarium home? Join us behind the scenes to explore the aquarium from the other side of the glass.
Get to know the Zoo's herd of reticulated giraffes during a tour of the Syd and Betty Cate Family Giraffe Herd Rooms. Learn how we care for animals that stand 15 feet above the ground, and how our herd rooms are specially designed for the Zoo's tallest residents.
Take a behind the scenes tour of the largest family herd room in North America. Participants will meet our African elephants and learn what it takes to care for animals weighing over 6,000 pounds.
Head behind the scenes in our Center for Conservation and Research, where you will learn about the work Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is doing to help protect animals both in the wild and in Zoos and Aquariums around the country.

If you can’t make it around the Zoo in one day, you’re not alone. Let us take you to some of our most popular exhibits on the far side of the Zoo from the comfort of our golf cart. Visitors will have the chance to journey behind-the-scenes during their tour and learn how we care for over 30,000 animals at the Zoo.
This tour is available for visitors of all ages and will include some walking.
Offered daily 8:30 – 10:30 a.m. and 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Cost is $60 per person, $45 per member. Price includes admission to the Zoo. Tickets are free for children under 2 years old.
The Dick and Mary Holland Meadowlark Theater features a Birds in Flight Program highlighting 15 of Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium’s bird species, including Harris hawks, Guinea fowl, red front macaws and blue and gold macaws. All 35 birds participating in the program are fully flighted birds that fly specific paths or demonstrate specific behaviors for the audience.
Animal encounters at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. daily.
Free with an Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium membership or general Zoo admission
The Giraffe Encounter is a dedicated area that provides visitors with eye-to-eye viewing and an opportunity to feed the giraffes.
Daily starting Saturday, May 29 from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. weather permitting.

Experience small birds flying overhead or from the palm of your hand at the Budgie Encounter, located inside of Children's Adventure Trails near the North Entrance of the Zoo.
Closed for the season.

Cross the boardwalk to walk among red ruffed lemurs on Lemur Island, located in front of Expedition Madagascar.
