Virtual Classes

The Zoo has been offering virtual learning experiences to classrooms around the world for nearly two decades. We are excited to bring this experience to families from the comfort of their own homes, or backyards, from the lake, or wherever you may choose to connect with us!

How Do Virtual Zoo Classes Work?

  • Zoo staff and students meet in a video chat session.
  • Connection is easy.  Learners at home only need a computer or mobile device, audio and internet connection or cellular service. (a webcam and microphone are optional)
  • Programs will be delivered through a secure platform. Zoo staff will deliver a live program and will answer questions from our virtual participants! Students may meet animal care staff, get unique views of our animals, participate in engaging activities and more.
  • Cost is $12 for ages 3-18 (member rate) or $25-$30 for Family programs.
    • Fee is per device. If you would like to call in on more than one device, please purchase an additional ticket. Only those with reservations will be let into the virtual class.
    • Virtual Zoo Classes are intended for households. Daycares, schools and other large groups please visit our Virtual Field Trips page for programs designed for your group type. If you are unsure or see a virtual class you would like your students to participate in, please email for pricing.
  • Class Duration: 45-60 minutes depending on age and program type.
  • Zoom links will be sent 24-hours or less prior to program start time. Please check your spam or junk folders for this email.
