Select Thursdays, May through August | 7 to 10:30 p.m.

It's a different crowd when the sun goes down. Come experience our version of nightlife at the most interesting cocktail hour in town. Adults 21 and over can join Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for a relaxed evening of drinks, local food truck cuisine and wildlife as we host our Late Nights at the Zoo summer event series from 7 to 10:30 p.m. on select Thursday nights May through August.

These events are for guests ages 21 and older with a valid photo ID. Entry will not be allowed without a valid photo ID. No outside beverages are allowed to be brought on to Zoo property. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase at the Zoo.

    • $15 online
    • $20 at the door
  • Non-Members
    • $25 online

Late Nights at the Zoo event tickets do not include daytime general Zoo admission. 

This is an after-hours, adults-only event.  ALL GUESTS must be 21 or older and must bring a valid ID to the event.  No exceptions made for any reason, including infants. Please drink responsibly.

Event capacity is limited to 5,000 total attendees. To guarantee admission, purchase your ticket online now! Last admission to this event is 9:30 p.m.

Admission Purchase Includes:

  • Access to select Zoo exhibits after-hours
  • Ability to purchase cuisine from local food trucks
  • One complimentary drink ticket (issued with event admission wristband)
    • Complimentary drink ticket can be used for 1 alcoholic OR 2 non-alcoholic beverages.
      • Additional drink tickets can be pre-purchased online with your event admission or onsite at multiple kiosks throughout the event area. Drink tickets are not valid for food truck purchases.

Drink Tickets

All drink tickets are valid for Late Nights at the Zoo after-hour events only. All drink tickets expire the same date of your event and cannot be used for another date. Unused drink tickets will not be refunded.

Complimentary Drink Ticket 

  • All guests receive one complimentary drink ticket with their event admission.
    • This one complimentary drink ticket is attached to your entry wristband and must be redeemed the same date. 

Additional Drink Tickets

  • Drink tickets are $8 each.
    • 1 drink ticket is valid for 1 alcoholic beverage OR 2 non-alcoholic beverages.
      • Cannot split up non-alcoholic beverages between two transactions.
    • Buy Online:
      • Drink tickets cannot be purchased online without buying event admission.
      • If buying admission, add your desired quantity of extra drink tickets to your cart. 
      • When at the event, visit an outdoor ticket kiosk at the main entrance of the Zoo. Scan your emailed event ticket barcode.
      • The kiosk will print any drink tickets that you pre-purchased.
    • Buy at the Event:
      • Single drink tickets can be purchased onsite at the event from an outdoor ticket kiosk. 

Alcoholic Beverages: Miller Lite, Coors Light, Empyrean Brewing Co. Zookeeper Lemon Kolsch, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Glacial Till Original Cider, White Claw Hard Seltzer, and Infinite Monkey Theorem White Wine (products subject to change)
Non-Alcoholic Beverages: Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Bottled Water

Open Exhibits

Zoo Exhibits Open During Event: 

  • Buildings: Scott Aquarium, Desert Dome, Kingdoms of the Night and Hubbard Gorilla Valley (indoor family quarters only)
    • Hubbard Gorilla Valley will close at 9 p.m. All others open until 10:30 p.m.
  • Outdoor Exhibits (weather dependent): African Grasslands, Stingray Beach, Harper Event Center, Glacier Bay Landing, Asian Highlands and Owen Sea Lion Shores
    • Hoofstock will move to indoor housing 30 minutes before sundown.
    • Asian Highlands will close at 10 p.m. All others open until 10:30 p.m.

Stingray Beach:

  • Stingray Beach is an add-on experience for Late Nights at the Zoo guests. This exhibit closes at 10:30 p.m.
    • $5 for non-members
    • $4 for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members (must have membership card and valid photo I.D. present)
    • Free for Patron members (valid for 2 named members + 2 additional guests)
    • Feeding cups are available for $1.50 (limited quantities daily)
