Elephant Calf at Omaha’s Zoo & Aquarium Has A Name

The female African elephant calf born at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has a name, Eugenia, which means “noble” or “well-born.” Eugenia received her name from the Grewcock Family, who won the naming rights at the Zoo’s fundraiser, Zoofari. Omaha Zoo Foundation Granted AmeriCorps VISTA Member Position for Volunteer & STEM at Wildlife Safari Park

This month, the Omaha Zoo Foundation was granted an AmeriCorps VISTA grant to provide an AmeriCorps VISTA member to begin service to strengthen and diversify the volunteer program at the Wildlife Safari Park by recruiting, training, and overseeing both youth and adult volunteers.
