Lee G. Simmons Aviary at Zoo and Bird Exhibits at Wildlife Safari Park Reopen

The Lee G. Simmons Aviary at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is now open to guests after being closed since March 3, 2022, due to concerns regarding the Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI) virus. Omaha’s Zoo and Aquarium Opens Lee G. Simmons Aviary After Renovation

On Friday, July 23, the Lee G. Simmons Aviary will open at 9 a.m. to the general public after being closed for renovations. An elevated and on ground boardwalk takes visitors through the Aviary with a special section dedicated to flamingo viewing.
