Omaha's Zoo Celebrates World Snake Day with First-Time Birth

Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium made history of its own with the Zoo’s first-time birth of four endangered eastern indigo snakes on Wednesday, July 14, and Thursday, July 15. The offspring, whose eggs were laid on Wednesday, April 14, with the first one pipping on Tuesday, July 13, emerged just in time for World Snake Day, which is today. Zoo Reopens Mahoney Kingdoms of the Night and Increases Overall Capacity

The Zoo announces the reopening of Mahoney Kingdoms of the Night and increased overall capacity. These changes are in accordance with the Nebraska Governor Pete Rickett’s Phase IV Directive Health Measures. These new operating procedures will go into effect on Friday, September 18, 2020. Zoo Brings First of Its Kind Lantern Experience to Omaha this Halloween
