Glacier Bay Landing
Glacier Bay Landing features many public amenities near Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium’s North Gate. The area, inspired by Alaskan coastal towns, offers unique food choices, a variety of seating options, new restrooms with changing areas and two family restrooms, a rental picnic area, a new ticket booth, a semi-private nursing mom area and a lighthouse-themed play structure for kids.
The architecture and landscape of Glacier Bay Landing continues the surrounding area’s Pacific Northwest theme seen in Alaskan Adventure and the upcoming Sea Lion Shores. Perhaps the highlight of the area is a sea plane that welcomes visitors into the area. Sea planes are commonly used in Alaska for taxi service, ambulance, sightseeing and wildlife viewing. The sea plane in Glacier Bay Landing has had its engine removed and is for viewing only.
