In 2020, Moo at the Zoo comes to you! Thanks to our friends at Midwest Dairy, get ready for a brand new virtual experience May 29 – 31. Tune in each day to the Zoo's social media channels for a different virtual field trip experience showing how farm life isn’t so different from zoo life.

Friday, May 29
Top Notch Animal Care: Not Just a Zoo Standard
With help from Farmer Sevastian, Dr. Aaron and Holly Fujon at Prairieland Dairy, as well as hoofstock keepers Josh Shandera and Kelly Goodyear at the Zoo, we'll take a peek into daily animal care operations. You'll learn how there are similarities in the ways farmers care for dairy cows and how keepers care for giraffes.

Saturday, May 30 
Domestic Animals and Zoo Education
The Zoo's very own Dr. Lee Simmons, as well as Kim Clark from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Extension will teach us how the care for domestic animals has led to the advancement in care for exotic animals.

Sunday, May 31
Environmental Sustainability and Why it Matters
Stephanie Huettner from the Zoo, Rick Koelsch from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and Farmer Sevastian from Prairieland Dairy give us the inside scoop on how the Zoo and dairy farms are each doing their part to enforce environmentally sustainable practices during their everyday operations.
