Reduce your wait at the gate and purchase your tickets ahead of time. Time slots are available every half hour during regular business hours. The Zoo is open year-round including Thanksgiving Day. Closed on Christmas Day. Face masks are encouraged.

Zoo Hours

April 1 - October 31

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, with last last ticketed admission reservation time at 5 p.m. 

  • Buildings will stay open until p.m. with the exception of the Lied Jungle, currently open (upper level only) from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is open year-round except Christmas Day. During inclement weather, please call (402) 733-8401.

November 1 - March 31

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. Buildings will stay open until 5 p.m. Lied Jungle will close at 3 p.m.

Open Thanksgiving Day from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Reciprocal Zoo Admission

Reciprocal admission tickets are available from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Online reservations are not required. Must bring proof of membership and ID to the Ticket Window upon arrival. Click here to view the AZA Reciprocal Zoo Admission Program list.

Zoo Entrances

South (Main) Entrance

Open daily except Christmas Day. Open on Thanksgiving Day.

Located off of 13th Street and Burt Murphy Avenue. Nearby exhibits to the entrance include the Desert Dome, Kingdoms of the Night, Scott Aquarium and Lied Jungle.

North Entrance

Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Can exit until 5:30 p.m.

After Monday, September 6, open Saturdays and Sundays only.

Closes for the season Monday, September 20.

Located nearest to 13th Street and Bob Gibson Boulevard. Nearest exhibits to the entrance include the Bay Family's Children's Adventure Trails, the Dick and Mary Holland Meadowlark Theater and Glacier Bay Landing.
