Reduce your wait at the gate and purchase your tickets ahead of time. Tickets can be purchased up to eight days in advance. The Zoo is open year-round except Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Face masks are encouraged.

Zoo Hours

April 1 - October 31

9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily, with last last ticketed admission reservation time at 5 p.m. 

  • Buildings will stay open until 6 p.m. with the exception of the Lied Jungle, currently open (upper level only) from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is open year-round except Christmas Day. During inclement weather, please call (402) 733-8401.

10 a.m. - 4 p.m. daily. Buildings will stay open until 5 p.m. Lied Jungle will close at 3 p.m.

Reciprocal Zoo Admission

Zoo Entrances

South (Main) Entrance

Open daily except Christmas Day. Open on Thanksgiving Day.

Located off of 13th Street and Burt Murphy Avenue. Nearby exhibits to the entrance include the Desert Dome, Kingdoms of the Night, Scott Aquarium and Lied Jungle.

North Entrance

Open for the season.

Located nearest to 13th Street and Bob Gibson Boulevard. Nearest exhibits to the entrance include the Bay Family's Children's Adventure Trails, the Dick and Mary Holland Meadowlark Theater and Glacier Bay Landing.
