Description:

In this digital escape room-themed experience, players (21+) will work in small teams to unlock the mystery of the Zoo as they solve puzzles and find clues throughout Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium during Locked Zoo: Rare Breeds on Tuesday, August 23 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Can you escape?

This month’s theme: Rare Breeds. Pair macaws, trade tigers, and get to know gorillas as you discover how Zoos worldwide collaborate on captive breeding programs.

This event is not a race or competition – the game is meant to be completed at your own pace.

This is an after-hours, adults-only event. ALL GUESTS must be 21 or older and must bring a valid photo ID to the event.  No exceptions made for any reason. No outside beverages are allowed to be brought on to Zoo property. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available for purchase at the Zoo. Please drink responsibly.

Please note: This is not a virtual game series. Locked Zoo can only be played in person at the Zoo. A mobile device is required to play.

Event Details:

• Mobile device required – this event requires a mobile device with internet capabilities to participate. Only one mobile device per team. There will not be charging stations available.
• There will be timed entry at 6:30, 7, and 7:30 p.m. The game will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
• Teams are allowed up to 6 players.
• Team members must check-in at the same time.
• Event is rain or shine – tickets are nonrefundable.
• Drink tickets will be available for purchase online and at kiosks on-site.
• Save time and order ahead! Exclusive boxed meals listed below are available for pre-purchase up to 48 hours in advance. The standard menu at Sea Turtle Cafe will be offered day of the event.

  • Peri Peri Chicken Wrap – $16.95 – Served with a Bottled Water, Summer Pasta Salad, Chips, & Cookie

Event Itinerary:

• 6:30, 7, and 7:30 p.m.
  • Players admitted to the event. Time selected at registration. Please see ticket for admittance time.
  • Players will receive their game packet, instructions and writing utensil upon check in.
  • Players may begin the game at any time.
• 6:30-9:30 p.m.
  • Pre-purchased meals can be picked up from Sea Turtle Café until 9:30 p.m.
  • Concessions open for on-site sales until 9:30 p.m.
  • Bars open until 9:30 p.m.
• 7:30 p.m.
  • Last event admission.
• 9:15 p.m.
  • Drink Ticket Kiosks close at 9:15 p.m.
• 10 p.m.
  • Event concludes.

Drink Tickets:

Drink tickets are $8 each. 1 drink ticket = 1 alcoholic beverage OR 2 non-alcoholic beverages.

Drink tickets can be pre-purchased online with your event admission AND must be picked up from our new ticket kiosks. Here’s how it works:

1. Purchase your event admission now at OmahaZoo.com (see links below).
2. When at the event, visit a ticket kiosk at the main entrance of the Zoo. Scan your emailed event ticket barcode.
3. The kiosk will print any drink tickets that you pre-purchased. You also can purchase more drink tickets onsite at this time, or at another kiosk once inside the Zoo.
4. Take the drink tickets and enjoy the event! All drink tickets expire the same day they are printed and cannot be used for a later event date.

Alcoholic Beverages: Miller Lite, Coors Light, Brickway Brewery Omaha Stylee Juicy IPA, Mike’s Hard Lemonade, Glacial Till Original Cider, White Claw Hard Seltzer, and Infinite Monkey Theorem White Wine (products subject to change)

Omaha's Zoo and Aquarium Members: $20 per person
Non-Members: $30 per person
