Scout Programs

Scout Programs

Scout classes may be booked on Saturday or Sunday at 10 a.m. or 2 p.m. with a minimum of five people. Classes are two hours long and are geared toward meeting badge requirements while engaging students in hands-on learning.

Classes also include a guided tour (not behind-the-scenes) through one of our exhibit buildings. The cost is $15 per person for adults and Scouts. Cost is $12 per scout if booked with an overnight experience. Zoo admission is included. All classes must be booked a minimum of three weeks in advance.

Scout Badge Sundays

Scout Badge Sundays are pre-arranged classes for American Heritage Girls, Girl Scouts and Cub and Boy Scouts aimed at individual scouts and troops. Classes are scheduled the first Sunday of each month from 2 - 4 p.m. and highlight specific badge requirements. Each month a different program is featured. Fees are $15 per person and includes adult chaperones. Zoo admission is included in the fee.  Pre-registration is required.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

  • November 5: Girl Scouts/Juniors - Animal Habitats 
  • December 3: Brownies - Bugs 

All classes will meet their class instructor at the Zoo Guest Services Gate at 1:45 pm. Class runs from 2 - 4 p.m. Fee is $15 per person and includes adult chaperones. Zoo admission is included in the fee. Pre-registration is required. 

Please note: Adult chaperones must remain with their scouts at all time throughout the duration of the program.
