Hours
March 9 through November 1: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. daily.  Buildings stay open until 6 p.m.

November 1 through March 7: 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. daily.  Buildings stay open until 5 p.m.

Animal Encounters

 

Camel Rides, located near Sue's Carousel, are open for the season. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Cost is $5 per person per ride (ages 2 and up). - NEW in 2014!

The Lemur Walkway, located at Expedition Madagascar, is open for the season. Its hours are as follows, weather permitting:

  • Saturday, May 10, and Sunday, May 11, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Friday, May 16, through Sunday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Friday, May 23 through Monday, Sept. 1, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (open everyday)
  • Friday, Sept. 5, through Sunday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (open Fridays through Sundays only)

The Red Barn Yard, located in Red Barn Park, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Budgie Encounter, located by Red Barn Park, is open for the season. Due to construction, take the shortcut: trek up the small hill between the Animal Contact Yard and Red Barn Cafe. It'll be on your right.

The Berniece Grewcock Butterfly and Insect Pavilion is open for the season. Hours are as follows:

  • Insect wing: Open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. March 9 through November 1 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. November 2 to March 7, 2015.
  • Butterfly wing: Open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 9 through November 1. From November 2 through March 7, 2015, it will be open Monday through Friday for on-the-hour guided tours only and Saturday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
