Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium is seeking students in ninth grade or older to join them for an Eco-Adventure in Cozumel, Mexico this July. Applications for the trip are due on February 15.
Students will spend the first week of camp at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium where they will shadow animal care staff, become scuba certified at DiVentures and learn about the ocean and marine animals. The second week of camp will be spent in Cozumel. While in Mexico, participants will scuba dive on the second largest coral reef in the world, travel to Holbox to observe whale sharks and visit the Chichen Itza Mayan Ruins.
The Zoo portion of camp is July 8-12 from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Student trip dates are July 15-23.
