Scout Programs





Scout Program Classes 2017

Scout classes may be booked on Saturday or Sunday at 10AM or 2PM, with a minimum of 5 people. Classes are 2 hours long and are geared towards meeting badge requirements, while engaging students in hands-on learning. The classes also include a guided tour through one of our exhibit buildings (this is not a behind the scenes tour). Please note, some classes are held at the Wildlife Safari Park (exit 426 off I-80) from April to October.  All classes must be booked a minimum of 3 weeks in advance.

Scout Badge Sundays at the Wildlife Safari Park

Calling all American Heritage Girls, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts…Sign up for a Scout Badge Sunday at the Safari Park. Scout Classes will include engaging and fun activities to help you earn your badge.
All individual scouts and troops are welcome.

    May 7th: Boy Scouts-Hiking Scout Class
    June 4th: American Heritage Girls-Freshwater Biology Class
    July 2nd: Webelos-Earth Rocks Scout Class
    August 6th: Girl Scouts/Juniors-Animal Habitats
    September 3rd: Boy Scouts-Geology
    October 8th: Brownies-Hiking

Classes will be held in the Education Hut located in the middle of the park at Pawnee Creek Trailhead from 1:45pm-4pm. Fee is $15 per person, this includes adult chaperones. Park admission is included in the fee. Pre-registration is required.Please note that adult chaperones must remain with their scouts at all time throughout the duration of the program. Scout Badge Sundays at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium

Calling all American Heritage Girls, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts…Sign up for a Scout Badge Sunday at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium. Scout Classes will include engaging and fun activities to help you earn your badge. All individual scouts and troops are welcome.

   February 5th: Boy Scouts-Oceanography Class
    March 5th: American Heritage Girls-Zoology Class
    April 2nd: Boy Scouts-Environmental Science Class
    November 5th: Girl Scouts/Juniors-Animal Habitats
    December 3rd: Brownies-Bugs

All classes will meet their class instructor at the Zoo Guest Services Gate at 1:45 pm. Class runs from 2pm-4pm. Fee is $15 per person, this includes adult chaperones. Zoo admission is included in the fee. Pre-registration is required.
