Eco Adventure 2016


Baja, Mexico
- Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium as we embark on a life-changing adventure to beautiful Baja, Mexico!  During the first week of camp (5 days) students will be given the opportunity to shadow animal care staff and learn about the ocean and marine animals.  The second week will be spent in Baja, Mexico where participants will dive into the Sea of Cortez, one of the most biologically diverse marine systems in the world.  Get up close to some of the ocean’s coolest creatures including a life-changing frolic with a colony of wild sea lions.  Activities include snorkeling, kayaking, desert hikes, wildlife encounters, Spanish immersion, and living on a World Heritage Site.

Dates:     June 6-13 (Zoo camp, 7:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.)
               June 14-21, 2015 (Baja, Mexico)

Cost: $3,500 (includes: airfare, in-country transportation, lodging, food, guides, activities and entry fees)

This trip is open to students in 9th grade or older.

Registrations due December 1, 2015, along with a $500 non-refundable deposit. A second payment of $1,500 is due March 15, 2016. Final payment of $1,500 is due May 1, 2016.
