We are pleased to welcome you and your family into our lives and hope you find a "second family/Pride" with us. We believe that learning and development occur through the constant exchange between teachers, children, and parents. Each child brings his or her own unique perspective, needs, and contributions to our time together.

Little Lions Preschool serves children from three to five years old between the hours of 8:30am-11:30am and 1:00pm-4:00pm. For questions on enrolling your child please email earlychildhood@omahazoo.com.

A Day at Wildlife Safari Park
Little Lions visited the Wildlife Safari Park and were able to see many of Nebraska's native animals, including elk and white tailed deer antlers--which they discovered are really quite large! Click here to download a booklet of their adventures.

A Day in the Ocean
Little Lions students recently visited Scott Aquarium to make observations. Students observed that sharks look different, swim at different speeds, and even discovered how many sharks and rays live in the aquarium!

Fly, Fly Away Little Butterfly!

Zoo Academy High School students and Little Lions Preschool students worked together to catch and tag 55 Monarch butterflies on September 18! Way to go Little Lions! By tagging these Monarchs we will be able to better understand their migration and learn more about where they spend their winter!
