Outreach Program


















Outreach programs are designed to enhance your study of the natural world.  Each program is presented by trained volunteers and staff.  Presentations may include live animals, bio-facts, and interactive activities.

What You Need to Know

  • Reservations are required.
  • Outreaches can be scheduled up to 6 months in advance or with a minimum of 3 weeks notice.
  • A 45-60 minute presentation designed with your group's needs and interests in mind.
  • Age requirement is pre-kindergarten to adults.
  • Please call for pricing.

NEW - Live Animal Encounter Zoo-to-You Programs

We are excited to offer new programs with live animal encounters! All programs are age appropriate and aligned to Nebraska State Science Standards. All programs are for up to 30 students, excluding the assembly outreaches. Please call for pricing.

  • Animal Movement (Pre-K--K)
    • Discover how animals move through story, role-play, and live animals.
  • Animal Habitats (K-2nd grade) 
    • Discover that all living things need food, water, and shelter to survive. Through interactive activities, biofacts, and live animals, learn how animals survive in different habitats around the world.
  • Animal Adaptations (K-5th grade)
    • Explore how adaptations help animals survive in the wild.
  • Life Cycles  (K-5th grade)
    • Discover the life cycles of a variety of animals.
  • Nebraska Wildlife (3rd-5th grade)
    • Discover characteristics of Nebraska habitats.
  • Ecosystems (3rd-8th grade)
    • Discover how energy moves through the food web, explore predator/prey relationships, and explore new terms such as producer, consumer, and decomposer.
  • Wildlife Science 101 (6th-12th grade)
    • Learn about the role of science in conservation and meet with zoo professionals to discuss life science career paths.
  • Animals Around the World Assembly (All Ages)
    • Travel around the globe and meet animals from various biomes. Discover the amazing adaptations that help these animals survive
