Did you know that most of the animals at the Zoo are part of an online dating program called a Species Survival Plan? Using genetics, Zoos around the world decide which animals should be paired for breeding, resulting in some very long distance blind dates. Not exactly the right or left swiping you might imagine! Join us for our next Virtual Conservation Happy Hour inside the Zoo’s Center for Conservation and Research to learn how the Zoo’s Department of Reproductive Sciences is helping re-shape the future of online dating for endangered cats.
This program will take place via Zoom. A link will be emailed to all participants prior to the event.
