Toco Toucans Now on Display
Two Toco Toucans - a 10-year-old female and a 12-year-old male - are now on display in the Amazon Exhibit of the Aquarium.
$0 $0 These birds, also known as Common Toucans, are native to South America, primarily the countries of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru and Suriname.$0 $0 There are currently 66 Toco Toucans across 30 Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA)-certified institutions. In their 2009 Regional Collection Plan, the Piciformes Taxon Advisory Group designated this population for SSP management with a target population size of 100 birds.
