Bring your little ghouls and goblins to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium® for Spooktacular. Join in the fun on October 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29, 2017, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Purchase tickets in advance for $8.95 per person for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium® members or $9.95 per person for non-members online or at Guest Services. Children 2 and under are free. Help us stay green by bringing your own trick-or-treat bag to fill with candy and other goodies.

When the sun goes down, what happens at the Zoo? Visit the Lied Jungle® to see free-flying bats or stop by Kingdoms of the Night® to see nocturnal animals during their daylight cycle. The evening includes admission to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium after-hours, trick-or-treating and fun interactive activities. Get up close and personal with different Animal Ambassadors, special animals used for educating visitors, and enjoy balloon-twisted figurines from Omaha balloon artists. Meet your favorite characters for a fun photo opportunity at Storybook Lane. Come to Spooktacular, and get ready for a candy-munchin, moon-howlin good time.

Spooktacular event tickets do not include general Zoo admission since this event occurs after regular Zoo operating hours.  Event is rain or shine. Tickets are non-refundable. Exhibits open for Spooktacular include: Lied Jungle®, Kingdoms of the Night®, Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium, and Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom Pavilion.

Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium's admission gates and exhibit buildings will close early on October 14, 15, 20, 21, 22, 27, 28, and 29.  Admission gates will close at 3:30 p.m. and exhibit buildings will close at 4:30 p.m.  Zoo grounds will be cleared at 4:30 p.m. with re-admittance beginning at 5:30 p.m. for the event with a pre-purchased ticket.

Skyfari will also close at 3:45 p.m. during these nights.

Boo Bash - October 28, 2017

Calling all spooky scientists in training! Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for Boo Bash, a Halloween dinner, on Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 4 to 5:30 pm. Step into the lab of a real life mad scientist where you will conduct a few slimy experiments. Then, feast on a frighteningly delicious meal, meet some surprise characters, and boogie the night away. Don’t forget to wear your costume!

This event is great for families with children ages 3-12, but everyone is welcome! Cost is $35 for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members and $40 for non-members. Children 2 and under are free. This unforgettable and exclusive dinner includes admission to Spooktacular on Saturday, October 28, 2017.

Veteran's Recognition Day - November 11, 2017

Veteran's Recognition Day

In honor of those who proudly served our nation, Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium will be offering free gate admission to all veterans and their immediate families on Veteran’s Day, Saturday, November 11, 2017. The free admission applies to all Veterans and their immediate families.

Wildlife Safari Park, located off Exit 426 near Ashland, will also be open on Veteran's Day. Veterans and their immediate families will receive free admission during Wildlife Safari Park's operating hours, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Comedy Night - November 17 and 18, 2017

Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for an evening of laughter as we host our fifth annual Comedy Night at the Zoo. This event is for adults 21 and over and takes place on Friday, November 17, and Saturday, November 18, 2017, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. inside the Aquarium Conference Center of the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium. Admission cost is $50 per person and includes heavy hors d‘oeuvres, two free drink tickets to our cash bar, special animal encounters and performances by comedians Nick Allen and Willie Farrell. With a cocktail in hand, it will be a night filled with laughs all around as guests are invited to take advantage of the beauty and serenity of the Scott Aquarium after-hours.

OPENER: NICK ALLEN
Omaha comedian, Nick Allen, has been a standout comedian in the Midwest for over a decade, consistently winning audiences over with his sharp, well-written material that focuses on his life as a husband, father, and son on a shoestring budget. Nick is well known for his stint on Last Comic Standing and he is a regular personality on Z-92's radio program, The Todd and Tyler Show.

HEADLINER: WILLIE FARRELL
Willie Farrell has been headlining comedy clubs such as the Funny Bones and Improv theaters for the last 25 years. He is a favorite on the stages of Las Vegas and Atlantic City, a regular performer on NCL cruise lines, and you might have seen him on Comedy Central or his own show on Showtime, The Godfathers of Comedy.

EVENT EMCEE: JESSI KREBS
Jessi Krebs is the hardest working zookeeper in show business and our host for Comedy Night. He's also the curator of reptiles and amphibians at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium and the headliner at our annual Love at the Zoo comedy event, where he discusses dating and mating in the animal kingdom.
Holiday Happenings - December 2, 9 and 16, 2017

Catch a glimpse of special holiday characters as they dive into the shark tunnel inside the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium on Saturdays, December 2, 9 and 16, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. Also, Zoo residents will be getting special enrichment gifts throughout the day. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members or with regular paid Zoo admission.

Supper with Santa - December 14 - 17, 2017
Supper with SantaIt's that time of year for Mr. and Mrs. Claus to make their annual trip to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for Supper with Santa! Join us Thursday, December 14 through Sunday, December 17, 2017 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a night of fun-filled holiday spirit!

Enjoy a spaghetti dinner, cookie decorating, craft stations, story time, exploring Scott Aquarium and of course pictures with Santa!

Cost is $18 per person for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members, $23 for non-members and children 2 and under are free. Reservations are required for this all-inclusive event. All children must be accompanied by an adult. All sales are final.

Penguins and Pancakes - December 26 - 30, 2017
Penguins and Pancakes Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for a formal affair – Penguins and Pancakes – on Tuesday, December 26, through Saturday, December 30, 2017, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. (no formal-wear required).  Enjoy pancakes from The Pancake Man, crafts and animal visits from the African penguins.

Member cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children (ages 3-11).  Non-member cost is $25 for adults and $20 for children (ages 3-11).  Children 2 and under are free. Reservations are required.
Tickets are non-refundable. Event is rain or shine. All children must be accompanied by a paid adult.

Ticket purchase includes a pancake breakfast, plush penguin toy and admission to the Zoo. Reservations will open in November 2017.

Noon Year's Eve - December 31, 2017

10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1!  Party with the animals and celebrate New Year's Eve at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium on Sunday, December 31, 2017, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Have a wild time with entertainment from Joe Cole’s Magic Show, fun activities and an early countdown to 2018 complete with a beach ball drop at noon.  Enjoy this fun family event without having to stay up until midnight. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members or with regular paid Zoo admission.

Event schedule is as follows:

11:59 a.m. Beach ball drop countdowns begin in the Education and Conference Center in the Scott Aquarium and the Wild Kingdom Pavilion

12 p.m. Beach balls will drop in the Education and Conference Center in the Scott Aquarium and the Wild Kingdom Pavilion
