Labor Day Weekend - September 3 - 5, 2016
Say goodbye to summer and hello to one last hurrah on Saturday, September 3 through Monday, September 5, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for Labor Day Weekend at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium! There will be wild entertainment including bounce houses, airbrush tattoos and special animal presentations for all ages.
Gate gifts, provided by Oriental Trading Company, will be given out, while supplies last. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members or with regular paid Zoo admission.
Visitors during this time can park
at Southroads Technology Park and ride shuttles that will drop riders off at the Zoo’s main
entrance. The service will be up and running for Labor Day Weekend only: Saturday, September 3 - Monday, September 5.
shuttles will be in motion from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. and circulate between
locations about every 15 minutes. The last shuttle run each day will be at
6 p.m. and depart
from Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium.
Southroads Technology Park, located at 1001 Fort Crook Road in Bellevue, has more than 700
parking spaces for those who take advantage of the service.

Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium’s admission gates will still close at 5 p.m. while the
shuttles are in operation. Buildings will remain open until 6 p.m.
Zoo Run - September 11, 2016
Lace up your shoes for the 36th annual Zoo Run on Sunday, September 11, 2016. This fun run is great for runners of all levels with the choice between a five mile run and a one mile run/walk. Check-in begins at 7 a.m. at the Main Entrance. The five-mile run departs at 8 a.m. and the one-mile run departs at 8:10 a.m.
Participants will receive bagels, bananas and free Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium admission on the day of the run.
If registered by August 25th, guests will receive a FREE t-shirt! Cost is $25 for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members and $30 for non-members. Children 2 and under are free, do not require a registration and will not receive a t-shirt. Zoo Run is rain or shine.
Strollers are NOT allowed in the 5-mile race.
Reservations are required and non-refundable. Walk in registrations will NOT be available. Registration closes on Thursday, September 8th at 11:59 PM.

Family Fiesta! - September 18, 2016
Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium Sunday, September 18, 2016 from noon to 5 p.m. for a fiesta the whole family can enjoy! The annual celebration highlights Latin American culture via dance and a live mariachi band while entertaining the kids with bounce houses, airbrush tattoos and much more.
The first 500 visitors through the gates will be able to create their own Latin-inspired rhythm with a Fiesta Maraca instrument, provided by Oriental
Trading Company. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members or with regular paid Zoo admission.
Spooktacular - October 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, 2016
Bring your little ghouls and goblins to Omaha’s Henry Doorly
Zoo and Aquarium® for Spooktacular presented by Hy-Vee. Join in the
fun on October 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30, 2016, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Purchase tickets in advance for $8.95 per person for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and
Aquarium® members or $9.95 per person for non-members online or at Guest
Services. Children 2 and under are free. Help us stay green by bringing your own trick-or-treat bag to fill with candy and other goodies.
When the sun goes down, what happens at the Zoo? Visit the Lied
Jungle® to see free-flying bats or stop by Kingdoms of the Night® to see
nocturnal animals during their daylight cycle. The evening includes
admission to Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium after-hours,
trick-or-treating and fun interactive activities. Get up close and personal with
different Animal Ambassadors, special animals used for educating
visitors, and enjoy balloon-twisted figurines from Omaha balloon artists. Meet your favorite characters for a fun photo opportunity at Storybook Lane. Come to Spooktacular, and get ready for a candy-munchin moon-howlin good time.
Spooktacular event tickets do not include general Zoo admission. Event is
rain or shine. Tickets are nonrefundable.
Tickets sales will open in September.
Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium's admission gates and
exhibit buildings will close early on October 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, and 30. Admission gates will close at 3:30 p.m. and exhibit buildings
will close at 4:30 p.m. Zoo grounds will be cleared at 4:30 p.m. with
re-admittance beginning at 5:30 p.m. for the event with a pre-purchased ticket.
The train and Skyfari will also close at 3:45 p.m. during these nights.
Boo Bash - October 29, 2016
Join Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for Boo Bash, an enchanted Halloween dinner, on Saturday, October 29 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. Meet and take pictures with special characters, participate in crafts and enjoy a ghoulishly fun dance party. Don't forget to wear your costume! Cost is $35 for Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members and $40 for non-members. Children 2 and under are free. This unforgettable and exclusive dinner includes first-entry admission to Spooktacular.
Event is rain or shine. All children must be accompanied by a paid adult. Limited seats are available. Reservations are required and non-refundable.

Comedy Night - November 4 and 5, 2016
Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for an evening of
laughter as we host our fourth annual Comedy Night at the Zoo.
This event is for adults 21 and over and
takes place on Friday, November 4, and Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. inside the Suzanne
and Walter Scott Aquarium. Admission cost is $50 per person and includes
heavy hors d‘oeuvres, two free drink
tickets to our cash bar, special animal encounters and performances by two local comedians.
With a cocktail in hand, it will be a night filled with laughs all
around as guests are invited to take advantage of the beauty and serenity of
the Scott Aquarium after-hours.
Reservations are required and will open in October.
Veteran's Recognition Day - November 11, 2016
In honor of those who proudly served our nation,
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium will be offering free gate admission to
all veterans and their immediate families on Veteran’s Day, Friday, November
11, 2016. The free admission applies to active or
retired Veterans and their immediate families.
Holiday Happenings - December 3, 10 and 17, 2016
Catch a glimpse of special holiday characters as they dive
into the shark tunnel inside the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium on
Saturdays, December 3, 10 and 17, 2016, at 10:45 a.m. Also, Zoo residents will be
getting special enrichment gifts throughout the day. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium
members or with regular paid Zoo admission.
Penguins and Pancakes - December 26 - 30, 2016
Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for a formal
affair – Penguins and Pancakes – on Monday, December 26, through Friday, December 30,
2016, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. (no formal-wear required). Enjoy pancakes from The Pancake Man,
crafts and animal visits from the African penguins. Cost is $15 for
Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members, $20 for non-members, children 2 and under
are free and includes a pancake breakfast, plush penguin toy and admission to

Noon Year's Eve - December 31, 2016
10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1! Party with the animals and celebrate New Year's Eve at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium on Saturday, December 31, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Have a wild time with entertainment from Joe Cole’s Magic Show, fun activities and an early countdown to 2017 complete with a beach ball drop at noon. Enjoy this fun family event without having to stay up until midnight. Event activities are free to Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium members or with regular paid Zoo admission.

Sounds of Fall - September 10, 2016
Become an animal detective for a day! Learn to
animals by their sounds, tracks and evidence they leave behind at
Safari Park during Sounds of Fall on Saturday, September 10, 2016, from
11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enjoy touching and feeling animal artifacts,
participating in crafts and enjoying other special activities at Wolf
Canyon. Event activities are free to Wildlife Safari Park members or
paid Wildlife Safari Park admission.
Member Appreciation Days - September 24 and 25, 2016
Appreciation Days are fun-filled ways for Wildlife Safari Park to say
thank you for your continued support throughout the season. Join in the
fun on Saturday, September 24, and Sunday, September 25, 2016, from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m. Wildlife Safari Park admission hours are from 9 a.m. to 5

outdoors during Haunted Safari from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, October 7, and Saturday, October 8, 2016. Reservations are
required. Children 2 and under are free. Event cost does not
include general Wildlife Safari Park admission during the operating hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
