Learn about birds, design bird crafts or explore on your own to catch a glimpse of various ducks, geese and cranes. Event activities are free with paid Park admission.

Wildlife Safari Park is operated by Omaha’s Zoo and is located off Nebraska’s I-80, Exit 426. Admission prices for Wildlife Safari Park are Child (3-11) $4.50, Adult (12 & over) $6.50, Senior (65 & over) $5.50. Omaha's Zoo members receive $1 off admission per person.

Tour de Zoo - August 2, 2012
Critter RideBring your bike and ride through Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo during this family fun event on August 2, 2012 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. There will be dinner, snacks and refreshments plus special animal encounters during the fun-filled evening.

If registered by July 18, 2012, receive a FREE T-shirt. Cost is $15.00 per person for Omaha's Zoo members, $20.00 for non-members, children 2 and under are free. Reservations are required and will be available in June 2012. Walk-in registrations are available but are not guaranteed a t-shirt.  Formally known as Critter Ride.
Shark Week - August 4-5, 2012
Shark WeekLearn what makes sharks so cool at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo in celebration of Shark Week on Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5, 2012 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be special Keeper Question and Answer sessions, a shark feeding at 1:30 p.m. (Saturday only) and educational activities.

Fly over to Wolf Woods to check out bug displays, learn about bugs’ important role in nature and participate in buggy crafts. Before leaving Wolf Woods, be sure to explore the area and see what type of creepy crawlies you can find on your own! Event activities are free with paid Park admission.

Zoo Run - October 14, 2012
Zoo RunLace up your shoes for the 32nd annual Zoo Run on Sunday, October 14, 2012! Check in begins at 8 a.m. This fun run is great for runners of all levels with the choice between a five mile run or one mile run/walk.

Participants will receive bagels, bananas and free Omaha’s Zoo admission on the day of the run. Plus, if registered by September 28, 2012, participants will receive a FREE t-shirt.

Cost is $20.00 for Omaha's Zoo members and $25.00 for non-members. Children 2 and under are free, do not require a registration and will not receive a t-shirt. Reservations are required and will be available August 2012. Registrations made after Thursday, October 11 or walk-in registrations are available but will not receive an official time and will not be guaranteed a t-shirt.
Haunted Safari - October 12-13, 2012
Haunted SafariGo on a haunted hike, take a spooky ride, enjoy supper, roast marshmallows and participate in ghostly games from 6 to 9 p.m. at Wildlife Safari Park during Haunted Safari on Friday, October 12 and Saturday, October 13, 2012!

Haunted Safari is a safe and fun Halloween event for families. Wear your costume and dress warm as this is an outside activity. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Reservations are required and cost is $15.00 per person. Event cost covers admission to Wildlife Safari Park from 6 to 9 p.m. Event cost does not cover general park admission during regular operating hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission prices for Wildlife Safari Park are Child (3-11) $4.50, Adult (12 & over) $6.50, Senior (65 & over) $5.50. Omaha's Zoo members receive $1.00 off admission per person.

Holiday Happenings - December 1, 8 and 15, 2012
Holiday HappeningsSanta is coming to town… and he will be making a special stop at Omaha’s Zoo on Saturdays, December 1, 8 and 15, 2012.

Watch Santa have a great time swimming among sharks, stingrays and sea turtles. The 70 foot-long tunnel in the Scott Aquarium gives visitors a great view of Santa swimming as well as a glimpse from the bottom of the ocean floor. Santa’s visit isn’t the only special activity going on - many Zoo residents will be getting special enrichment gifts throughout the day! A full enrichment schedule will be available December 2012.

Supper with Santa - December 20-23, 2012
Supper with SantaJoin Santa and Mrs. Claus at Omaha's Zoo during Supper With Santa on Thursday, December 20 through Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a night of fun-filled holiday spirit!

Enjoy supper, crafts, pictures with Santa and more. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Cost is $15.00 per person, children 2 and under are free. Pre-registration is required and will be available in November 2012.
Penguins and Pancakes - December 27-29, 2012
Penguins and PancakesJoin Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo for a formal affair – Penguins and Pancakes – on Thursday, December 27 to Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 8:30 to 10 a.m. (no formal-wear required). Enjoy pancakes from The Pancake Man, crafts and animal visits from the African penguins.

Cost is $12.00 for members, $15.00 for non-members, children 2 and under are free and includes a pancake breakfast, plush penguin toy and admission to the Zoo.  Tickets are non-refundable. Event is rain or shine. All children must be accompanied by a paid adult.  Pre-registration is required and will be available December 2012. 
Noon Year's Eve - December 31, 2012
Noon Year's EveParty with the animals and celebrate New Year's Eve at Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo on December 31, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Have a wild time with activities, entertainment and an early countdown to 2013 complete with a beach ball drop. Enjoy this fun family event without having to stay up until midnight!
