Comedy Night - November 7 and 8, 2014
Join Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium for an evening of laughter as we host our second annual Comedy Night at the Zoo.  This event is for adults 21 and over and takes place on Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, 2014, from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. inside the Suzanne and Walter Scott Aquarium.  Admission cost is $50 per person and includes heavy hors d‘oeuvres, two free drink tickets to our cash bar, special animal encounters and performances by comedians.  With a cocktail in hand, it will be a night filled with laughs all around as guests are invited to take advantage of the beauty and serenity of the Scott Aquarium after-hours.

Our Comedians and Emcee:
  • Kris Covi is an Omaha native and Nebraska's Tallest Comic, standing at 6-foot-8. He first stepped onto the stage in 1993 where the first joke he ever told was about the Blank Park Zoo in Des Moines. After college, he put comedy on hold to pursue a legal career where, it turns out, having a sense of humor is a survival skill. For year now, he has been entertaining audiences all over the Midwest with stories about his freakish height, kids and unapologetic love of bacon. Covi is the 2014 winner of the Great American Comedy Festival and a regular at the Omaha Funny Bone.
  • Justin Worsham is a family man from Modesto, California. His latest album, "I'm a Good Husband," is featured on Blue Collar Radio on Sirius XM. Worsham has been seen on Comic Without Borders with Russell Peters on Showtime. He has entertained companies like Gallo Winery, Intel and Wells Fargo. When he is not touring as a stand-up comedian, he tours as a host for live Nickelodeon game shows. He is also a graduate of the Second City LA Conservatory and also performs with ComedySportz around the country.
  • Tom Becka, our Comedy Night emcee, spent years on the road as a stand-up comic before becoming a nationally recognized radio talk show host heard daily on The Mighty 1290 KOIL. Becka has worked with greats such as Jerry Seinfeld, Sam Kinnison, Lewis Black, the band Chicago and more. His comedy is based on personal experiences and observations - a PG-13 act that will make you laugh and think, all at the same time.
On the Menu:

The hors d'oeuvres for the evening include coconut pulled pork spring rolls with curried carrot, finished with cilantro; crispy chicken crostini with maple-infused onions and chicken pâté; and blue cheese and potato beignets with wild blueberry marmalade. There will also be a gourmet risotto station. A chef will prepare risotto at the station, giving guests the option of adding the following: chicken, pork, scallions, forest mushrooms, truffle oil, sun-dried tomatoes, basil pesto and corn chipotle compote. Finally, a meat and potato station will be available with loaded baked potato dip served with homemade parmesan potato chips and beef meatballs in a chipotle cream sauce.

This event is for adults 21 and over (no infants or children, please). The program content may include explicit language and adult situations. Reservations are required. Tickets will not be available at the door. All sales are final. No refunds or exchanges will be made.
